posted 08/27/2010 Travel Baseball (competitive baseball) tryouts reminder and updates.
Parents,
The tryouts for the 12U and 10U VCBS travel baseball teams will be tomorrow August 28th. If there is a circumstance that will keep your child form participating tomorrow, the make-up date is September 11th.
Tryouts will be at the clover leaf from 5pm to 7pm on both dates. We will have a sign in at the "main entrance" to the clover leaf. We respectfully ask that all parents stay outside the clover leaf during tryouts.
Prior communications from VCBS had indicated that payment would be expected at the time of tryouts. After receiving feedback from parents and reviewing the matter, we have decided that no monies will be due at tryouts. We anticipate having all of our teams seated by 09/15/10 at the latest. If your child is selected to play on a VCBS travel team, full payment will be expected by 10/01/10. Payment of $265 may be made in the form of a check made out to VCBS or by credit card on the website.
Within the "documents" section of the website you will find the "2011 Travel Baseball Documents" paperwork in the form of a Word document. This paperwork must be completed and turned in at the tryout registration.

These tryouts are only for 10U and 12U teams.
Age requirements are as follows:
To try out for a 10U team your son
must be 9 by April 30th, 2011. Boys who are 8 and entering the 3rd grade in Sept. 2010 can also tryout.
To try out for the 12U team your son
must be 11 by April 30th 2011. Boys who are 10 and entering the 5th grade in Sept. 2010 can also tryout.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can complete all of the registration requirements which are outlined in the attached document.
